Our mission at Fostering Hope Florida is to provide healthy nurturing, community-supported foster homes, complete with client-specific services for children who are unable to reside with their own families.

We provide in-home support to the foster parents who live in our Hope Houses, with the belief that we are offering a secure stable environment to foster children who might not otherwise have this available.

Fostering Hope has a commitment to provide services at no cost to foster children who may benefit from it. The goal is to preserve the dignity of the individual child while assisting each child to reach his or her natural potential. Whenever possible, our staff will work with a child's family by providing services and assistance when it is in the best interest of the child.

Our goal for the upcoming year is to open a Hope House in Pinellas County. Can you help?

Did You Know?

  • There are more than 35,000 children in foster care in Florida today.

  • Sixty-six percent are under the age of 10, spending their critical early development years in an institutionalized setting.

  • Many children remain in foster care for three years or more.

  • Due to foster home shortages, children can be placed in up to 20 foster homes, until a permanent place for them is found. Many go to a different home each night, carrying their belongings in a grocery bag.

  • Siblings are often separated from one another indefinitely. The foster home shortage plays a large role in this unfortunate fact.

Saving one child may not change the world...
But surely, for that one child,
Life will change forever.
